The Lily Initiative

Our VISION is that every child has a family and a place to call home.

FOSTER

Approximately 1,364 children are in the North Dakota foster care system

Provide a temporary, loving home for children in need by becoming a licensed foster parent. There are over 400,000 children in U.S. foster care and over 100,000 kids waiting for a family today. Many are the victims of neglect, abandonment, and abuse, but others are placed in short-term foster care due to a temporary disability or illness of their primary caregiver. The vision of The Lily Initiative is that every child has a family and a place to call home.

ADOPT

Approximately 341 children are waiting to be adopted in North Dakota

Provide a forever home to a child in need of a forever family through adoption. James 1:27 NIV says, “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress…” We believe every child deserves a family and a place to call home, and we believe the Church is called to care for vulnerable children. Adoption is a direct reflection of how God our Father has adopted us and called us His sons and daughters, giving us a place in His family forever. The Lily Initiative is also proud to offer scholarship opportunities to families interested in adopting.
